Home Improvement Contractor Compliance Bond
$10,000 to $50,000
New Jersey does not issue a statewide contractor license bond. Under P.L.2022, c.95, Home Improvement Contractor Businesses must maintain tiered additional security: $10,000 (contracts under $10K), $25,000 ($10K-$120K per contract), or $50,000 (over $120K per contract). The security may be a surety bond, irrevocable letter of credit, or other approved form.
